About Us

Food rescue, with purpose.

Since 2002, Hands of Mercy OC has operated a food bank and distribution center in Orange County, rescuing surplus food from local grocery stores and restaurants and getting it to the people who need it most.

Our Mission

To reduce food waste, alleviate hunger, and empower individuals and communities through food education.

Our Vision

A world where everyone has access to nutritious food and the knowledge to make the most of it, ultimately creating healthier, more resilient communities.

What We Do

Six days a week, our team rescues surplus perishable and non-perishable food from grocery stores, supermarkets, and restaurants across Orange County — food that would otherwise be thrown away. We process it at our distribution center and deliver it through a network of more than 60 shelters, ministries, and charitable partners.
